STAGE FLASH 13
Four-minute intervals
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“I think the gap is quite small. I had a very clean drive. The car is feeling good. I am happy with that.”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“Just keep a good rhythm. Manufacturers’ points are important. We just keep it nice and tidy.”
Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“It’s better. This morning was dusty. I enjoy a lot this stage. I try a different set-up on the car. I am quite
happy.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
“For sure there are plenty of kilometres (left). If we can catch him (Elfyn) we don’t know. It’s not so
rough, it’s slippery.”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“It (road position) is paying off. Let’s see how it goes on the afternoon loop.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I try. Honestly, we swapped some settings, Dani and me, but I am still struggling a bit.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
A stunning drive to keep Tänak at bay and extend his lead over the Estonian to 22.4 seconds. “That
was good. I was happy with that. Nice and clean and efficient. It’s good. A long way to go, but it is
good.”
Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-AMLAND
Stopped on the stage to open a gate that had closed. Andreas Jaeger wedged the gate open so that it
would not open again and the crew stopped for around one minute. They should have the time lost
reinstated by rally officials. “No, we came and a gate was locked. I think it’s stupid. It happened before.
History has repeated itself.”
Car 21. PIENIAZEK/HELLER
“It’s going pretty good. I made a mistake at the beginning of the stage and had to reverse. I lost my
confidence. The stage was very slippery. I am happy to be here and able to continue.”
Car 41. GUERRA/ZAPATA
“Now it’s a good lead to Alberto Heller. I don’t know what happened to Marco. But we are really happy
now.”
Car 42. BULACIA/CRETU
Stopped 5.3km into the stage and then got moving again, but the time lost handed a big advantage to
Guerra in the WRC 2 battle. The Bolivian ceded 3min 43sec to Guerra and now trails the Mexican by
3min 55.2sec.
Car 44. HELLER/DIAZ
Slid off on the stage and managed to extricate himself from being stuck on a small banking.
Car 87. BAILEY/PETERSEN
Suffered mechanical problems in Otates 1 and has retired from the remainder of Saturday.
Car 90. DVORDEVIC/HALL
Retired from the rally with mechanical issues at TC11.
