The stage was red-flagged because Esapekka Lappi’s car was deemed to be in an unsafe
position after he left the road.
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
Red-flagged on the stage after Lappi’s car partially blocked the special but finished the special with front
right tyre off the rim. “A bit earlier we had a flat tyre but we had a red flag anyway and we had to stop.
There was a rock in the road and I could not avoid it.”
Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“Hooked the side of the C3 off the stage and came to a standstill hanging the back end of the car off the
stage. There appears to be little damage to the car, but it is stuck over the stage edge.

“Everything is good. A good stage and the car felt good.”

“Tough in places, a lot of dust. There will be more and more. It was difficult in some places and I was
not driving very well. Many crests, narrow, not easy.”

“Generally okay, but a lot of dust and quite difficult to see.”

The Finn did not start the stage on his designated time of 08.38hrs.

“It’s a long day. I struggled with the confidence in the stage. It is very slippery and a lot of dust. Very
demanding and challenging. The dust starts hanging. You could not see the next corner.”
